South Adriatic.
ACI marina Dubrovnik lies near Komolac, about 2 NM from the entrance to
the port of Gruž and only 6 km from the old city nucleus.
The marina has 425 berths and 140 boat places on land. All berths have
water and power supply.
Reception, exchange office, café, aperitive-bar, restaurant, pub, tennis
courts, swimming pool,
toilets and showers, laundry service, supermarket , nautical gear store,
repair shop, 60 t travel lift, parking lot, gas station (butane bottles
available) (500 m).
Customs formalities can be effected all year round in the port of Gruž.
ACI marina Dubrovnik along with nine other ACI marinas has been awarded
the “European Blue Flag”,
an environmental award given to communities that make a special effort
to keep their
beaches and marinas clean and manage them with consideration for the
local environment.
By the port of Gruz Dubrovnik is connected with all major Croatian ports
(Rijeka-Zadar-Split-Stari Grad-Korčula-Dubrovnik). There are regular
ferry lines to Trieste, Venice, Rimini, Ancona, Pescara and Bari in
Italy.
Apart from that, the airport (Ćilipi) has worldwide international
flights.
Bus lines lead to all major European cities.
The marina is connected with the port of Gruž and the old city by bus
lines that start very early and
run until 2 a.m.
The inlet of Rijeka Dubrovačka at the end of which is the ACI marina
until the easily noticeable monastery at Rožat is 170 - 400 m long. As a
way point when approaching the mouth of Rijeka Dubrovačka the islet of
Daksa can be used.
There is a lighthouse (Fl 6s 7m 10M) on the northern cape of the islet,
which can be rounded from either side. The latitude and longitude of the
lighthouse are 42°40,2 N 18°03,5’ E. The entrance to the mouth of
Rijeka Dubrovačka is marked by a lighthouse on Cape Kantafig
(FlRG2s8m4M).The course through the riverbed leads to the Mokošica
lighthouse (Fl R 3s 6m 4M)
and further to the ACI marina Dubrovnik. From Rožat the inlet becomes
narrower and more shallower. Sea-depth is 3-5 m. The marina is flood -lit
at night.
A long breakwater protects the marina from the river currents.
